How to show hidden files on a Mac:
Terminal:
defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles TRUE killall Finder |
The killall command kills and refreshes all open Finder windows.
If you would like to turn it back off:
defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles FALSE killall Finder |
